Welcome to the Phoenix High School website. Phoenix High School is a special purpose high school that provides students 16 and older students an opportunity for credit recovery and/orcredit acceleration. Phoenix High School staff work together as a team to provide leadership needed to put student needs first. The school has a warm welcoming environment supported by a comprehensive family school engagement program. Phoenix has a small student population. An individualized graduation plan is developed for each student by the administration and counseling upon enrollment. Phoenix High is a special purpose school that addresses a myriad of individual situations. The graduation coach, along with counselors, teachers, and administration work closely with students to monitor graduation plans, attendance, behavior and academic progress.
As part of “#OneWhitfield,” our school is driven by building positive, supportive community relationships. By forging partnerships with Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy, Dalton State College, Georgia Northwestern Technical College, and business/industry, we provide opportunities to collaborate on the direction of our school.

Assistant Principal (Curriculum/Testing)
I have been part of the Whitfield County Schools family since 2000, and over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This year, I'm honored to support students and staff as an assistant principal at both Northwest Georgia College & Career Academy and Phoenix High School.
I earned my B.S. in Medical Technology from Georgia State University, followed by my M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. Working across all grade levels has been a meaningful journey that’s helped me grow both personally and professionally. It’s given me a deep understanding of how to support students, collaborate with teachers, and help build strong school communities.
